Beethoven Violin Romance

Kolja Blacher appears as a solo violinist with important orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Oslo Philharmonic, St. Petersburg Philharmonic, the Munich Philharmonic, the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, the NDR Sinfonieorchester, Gürzenich-Orchester Köln and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe.

Romance for Violin and Orchestra No. 2 in F major, Op. 50 by Ludwig van Beethoven was composed between 1798 and 1802. It is still one of the most popular of Beethoven's works today.

The Berliner Philharmoniker (Berlin Philharmonic) is one of the world's leading orchestras. The first concert hall of the orchestra was destroyed during WWII in 1944. The new Berliner Philharmonie was built in 1963 by architect Hans Scharoun at the Kulturforum.
