Mozart Flute Concerto No 2


Jean-Pierre Rampal performs Mozart Flute Concerto No 2 in D major, second movement.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Oboe Concerto in C major, K. 314 was originally composed probably around 1777 for oboist Giuseppe Ferlendis, then reworked by Mozart into Flute Concerto No. 2 in D major in 1778. This Concerto is divided into three movements:

I. Allegro aperto
II. Adagio non troppo
III. Rondo: Allegretto

Jean-Pierre Louis Rampal (7 January 1922 – 20 May 2000) was a celebrated French flautist and "has been credited with returning to the flute the popularity as a solo classical instrument it had not held since the 18th century.
