Carol A carol is a festive song, generally religious but not necessarily connected with church worship, and often with a dance-like or popular character. Today the carol is represented almost exclusively by the Christmas carol, the Advent carol, and to a much lesser extent by the Easter carol, however despite their present association with religion, this has not always been the case.
Cartageneras Cartageneras are a flamenco palo belonging to the category of the Cantes de las minas (in English, songs of the mines) or cantes minero-levantinos (eastern miner songs). As the rest of the songs in this category, it derives from older folkloric fandango styles. The origin of this particular style is attributed to traditional fandango from the miner area of Cartagena in the province of Murcia, in southern Spain.
Cavacha Cavacha is a type of rhythm found in the popular music of Zaire and Kenya. It is a fast-paced rhythm typically played on a drum kit, often with the snare drum or hi hat. Zairean bands such as Zaiko Langa Langa and Orchestra Shama Shama popularized this form of rhythm in the 1960s and 1970s.

Celtic rock Celtic rock is a genre of folk rock which incorporates Celtic music, instrumentation and themes. The style is seen as the hybrid of traditional Irish music with new musical forms.Some of the traditional instruments used in Celtic rock include the tin whistle, uilleann pipes, fiddle, bodhrán, accordion, concertina, melodeon, and bagpipes. It is also noted that many American Celtic rock bands also have members that have no Irish heritage and sing in English, not Gaelic, but also draw their influences from other musical sources.

Charikawi
The charikawi is a traditional mimed dance of the Garifuna, in which a hunter encounters a cave man and a cow. The word may also refer to the music for such a dance.
Chastushka Chastushka (Russian: часту́шка), a type of traditional Russian poetry, is a single quatrain in trochaic tetrameter with an abab, abcb or (less frequently) aabb rhyme scheme. Usually humorous, satirical, or ironic in nature, chastushkas are often put to music as well, usually with balalaika or accordion accompaniment. The rigid, short structure (and, to a lesser degree, the type of humor used) parallels limericks in British culture.

Since its development, chouval bwa has diversified into genres like zouk chouv, which includes electric instrumentation and has been popularized by Claude Germany, Tumpak, Dede Saint-Prix, and Pakatak.
