The Festival International de Louisiane is an annual music and arts festival held in Lafayette, Louisiana celebrating the French heritage of the region. It drew about 300,000 attendees in 2007.

Formed in 1986, Festival International de Louisiane is a community-based, non-profit arts organization that provides a FREE family event celebrating the French cultural heritage of southern Louisiana - primarily a combination of French, African, Caribbean and Hispanic influences. Celebrate the 22ème Festival International de Louisiane from April 23-27 (5 days), 2008, in downtown Lafayette, Louisiana.

Registration Begins for Courir du Festival 5K

Québec and Festival International would like to invite you to run, walk, skip or jump to the finish line at the Courir du Festival 5K Run! Bring your kids, co-workers and friends of all ages to downtown Lafayette on Festival Saturday (April 26)! Meet at TV5Monde Scène Lafayette (across from the Federal Courthouse) on April 26th at 8:00 AM for the 5K Run.

As part of the largest Francophone festival in North America, the race features a live international band, Benwela (Québec) dancing, food, drinks, art and more! The USATF-certified course starts and finishes in downtown Lafayette, LA, the heart of Cajun Country; therefore the Festival will be serving sumptuous Cajun and Creole delights, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and more.

You can register online now. Race-Day registration will be held from 7 to 8 AM at TV5Monde Scène Lafayette, so get there early to stretch, visit and enjoy the beginning of a great Festival day.

2008 line-up was announced. The line-up includes performances by the Blind Boys of Alabama with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band Horns, Burning Spear, Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk, Babylon Circus, Habib Koïte, The Duhks and more.
