Apr. 6, 2008 Country Stampede Music Festival

The Country Stampede Music Festival is an outdoor country music and camping festival held at Tuttle Creek Lake State Park, north of Manhattan, Kansas. The festival has been held annually since 1996 on the last weekend in June.
Country Stampede is a four day and five night music and camping festival featuring some of today's hottest country artists. The schedule for 2008 is June 26, 27, 28, 29. It is the largest annual music festival in Kansas. Total combined attendance for all days exceeds 100,000 – in 2005 it was approximately 140,000 and in 2006 it was approximately 150,000. Camping is common for attendees, and 2,400 camp sites are available on the grounds.

Country Stampede has found that after the show, some people prefer to relax in a quiet surrounding, while others like to stay up and visit with friends. To accommodate our campground guests, Country Stampede offers two different primitive camping areas (Horseshoe Bend Campground and Branding Iron Campground), each with a different noise curfew.
